Open Doors isn't a traditional school - and it's not your typical homeschool co-op either.
We create space where children, with their grownups right by their side, learn through life skills, play, community, and meaningful connection. In our classes, whether in the classroom, at a park, or on a field trip, you'll be able to learn and explore!
With our resource library, you will be able to utilize grab-and-go lesson plans, invitation to learn centers, & tons of homeschool resources for planning and learning both in class with us and in your home...

We embrace the seasons, the elements, and the wild as well as the calm and quiet of shelter — whether you enjoy learning outside, getting messy, and tuning into the rhythms of the natural world or you'd rather cuddle up with a blanket and a book, we've got a space for you!

Caregivers are active participants — co-learners, co-creators, and co-regulators. You’re not just dropping off; you’re diving in.

We see the magic in mixed-age groups, intentionally mirroring natural community life. Older children practice leadership and empathy. Younger kids rise to the challenge. Everyone learns by doing, observing, helping, and growing together.

Founder & Instructor
Hi friends! I’m Miss Courtney, a big kid at heart who loves to learn and foster a love of learning in others! I have my degree in Early Childhood & Special Education, with experience teaching in numerous school settings, summer camps, and child care settings. I’ve long dreamed of creating a space where learning feels joyful, meaningful, and connected where kids can grow through play, hand-on activities, and real-life experiences.
Now as a homeschool mama, I’ve been pulled into that dream even more, wanting to extend that learning space to include families who feel truly seen, heard, and supported. Since the beginning of our own homeschool journey, I’ve come to believe that homeschooling is simply an extension of parenting — and that with the right time, tools, and support, every family can thrive.
Open Doors Schoolhouse is the heart of that dream. I can’t wait to welcome your family!
About Miss Jessie (she/her)
Co-Founder, Instructor
Hi friends! I'm Miss Jessie. I began homeschooling my own children two years ago, and in the process, I discovered a deep love for teaching and learning alongside kids. One of my favorite parts of homeschooling is the freedom to follow children’s lead, learning in hands-on, earth-connected ways while focusing on what truly matters most to our families. I believe children are naturally curious, and when we lean into that curiosity, meaningful learning happens naturally. My goal in starting this homeschool group was to support families who share similar values by offering encouragement, resources, and a strong sense of community, all while nurturing a genuine love of learning in our children. I truly enjoy watching our homeschool community thrive through hands-on, sensory-rich, and socially engaging experiences. Being able to walk alongside other families in this journey makes it all the more special. I look forward to meeting you and your curious little explorers!
