Wondering what it's really like? Maybe you're still undecided?

Imagine yourself here...

It's a crisp fall Wednesday morning and you've arrived to homeschool class...

We begin gently, with time for kids to share something about their week—maybe a missing tooth, a cool leaf they found, or a favorite game from home. We check the weather, flip the calendar, and settle in with a story or a song.

It’s relaxed and welcoming, like sitting around the family table—but with a few more friends.

Next comes our main lesson—this is the heart of our learning time. Miss Courtney leads the group through hands-on activities, small group work, and meaningful discussions centered around our current topic. You might sit beside your child and support them, or step back and watch as they build confidence, partner up with a friend, and tackle something new.

Kids grab snacks from their bags, maybe cozy up with a journal or stretch out on the rug. It’s a quiet time for drawing, thinking, or just resting their bodies. Some parents sit and chat; others take a moment to walk the grounds with a toddler or enjoy the stillness.

As the day wraps up with, we have a group reflection or lighthearted wrap-up activity—something that leaves kids feeling accomplished, connected, and eager to return. Materials make their way back to the shelves, friends share a high five or a hug until next time, and you realize you finally had time for that hot coffee today.

And as you leave, your child is buzzing with stories, their hands full of projects, and their heart a little more connected—to the community, to the rhythm, and to the joy of learning.

It's Thursday, so you decided to pop in for a Play + Learn Day today!

You arrive at the schoolhouse with no pressure, no set schedule—just an open heart and whatever your homeschool day needs.

Maybe your child brought their favorite workbook or a sketchpad, or maybe today is all about play and connection. You walk in, greeted by the warm hum of families settling in, the scent of coffee brewing, and kids already diving into the day. Some children are gathered around a sensory table, scooping and pouring with total focus. Others have pulled a board game off the shelf and are negotiating rules, giggling over silly card combinations. A mom nearby joins in while sipping her coffee. You spot a few kids and parents putting on boots to wander the nature trail chatting as they go.

You and your child find a quiet corner with an invitation to learn folder. Inside—loose parts, a puzzle, and some prompts that spark curiosity. You settle in together, or maybe your child gets absorbed while you find a moment to breathe, chat with another parent, or pull out your own notebook.

There’s movement and stillness, noise and calm, all coexisting. Some kids spread out to build, others curl up with books and a few wander out to the playground. No one is hurrying. It’s a space to be—to explore, to connect, to lean into learning naturally.

Before you know it, the morning has passed. Your child doesn’t want to leave, and honestly—you don’t either. You leave with full hearts, maybe a half-finished project in hand, and the kind of calm joy that comes from spending the day in good company, in a space that sees the beauty in slow, intentional learning.

Whether you decide to enroll in a semester homeschool class or you're just looking for a fresh location for learning, growth, and connection, our doors are open for you.

Drop in, stay awhile, and watch your child’s confidence, curiosity, and connection blossom.
